A combined Evening Prayer and Penance Service for our Pastorate Parishes of St. Ann, St. Ann, St. Wenceslaus and St. Francis Xavier will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church (1501 E. Oliver Street) on Monday evening, December 17th at 7 pm. This is a great way to “prepare the way of the Lord.” Please join us!
A Breakfast with Santa for our Pastorate will be held on Saturday, December 15th from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church Hall 1501 E. Oliver Street. Tickets are $7 and are available to obtain from Antoinette Shannon of St. Wenceslaus Church. If you are interested in attending, please notify the parish office. Each child 12 years and younger will receive a gift from Santa and everyone will enjoy a full breakfast, songs, games, etc. Tickets are limited and will not be sold at the door.
The feast of Mary’s Immaculate Conception is Saturday, December 8. The Blessed Mother under the title of the Immaculate Conception is the patroness of the United States. Especially at these challenging times for our country and throughout the world, we ask Mary to intercede with her Son so that we may know peace and harmony in our global community. Mass for our Pastorate will be offered at St. Francis Xavier Church 5pm.
On Sunday, December 2nd, the First Day of Advent, Most Reverend William E. Lori, Archbishop of Baltimore will make his Pastoral Visitation to our Pastorate of St. Ann, St. Wenceslaus and St. Francis Xavier. Archbishop Lori will celebrate the 11 am Mass at St. Francis Xavier on this day. All parishes within the Pastorate are invited to attend. This will be the only 11 am Mass on this day. There will be no Mass at St. Ann’s. A 9 am Mass will be offered at St. Wenceslaus. A luncheon celebration will be held immediately following Mass in St. Francis Xavier’s Church Hall where the Archbishop will meet and speak with parishioners. Pray for God’s Spirit to bless and inspire all who will be a part of our Pastorate Pastoral Visitation.
The Historic St. Francis Xavier Church of the Pastorate of St. Ann/St. Wenceslaus and St. Francis Xavier, host their annual Revival entitled "Your Condition Is Not Your Conclusion" It will take place at the church Thursday, November 29th through Saturday, December 1st at 6:30 p.m. on each of the three evenings. The Revival will be led by Reverend Maurice J. Nutt, C.Ss.R., D.Min.

Our Christmas Eve Celebration Mass will be Monday Evening, December 24 at 8:00 pm. Caroling with the Choir will begin at 7:30 pm prior to the evening Mass. Mass will be held on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25 at St. Wenceslaus at 9:00 am and also St. Francis Xavier at 10:00 am. Be sure to invite family and friends to worship with us as we gather as a faith community and proclaim the greatest gift ever given to our world.
The Josephites Fathers & Brothers will celebrate their 125th Anniversary November 16–17 with a Mass of Thanksgiving at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Banquet to follow at the Baltimore Convention Center. Please help the Josephites keep to their missions to the African American Community and support the Josephite programs home and abroad. B.U.I.L.D (Baltimore United in Leadership Development) will hold a listening session tomorrow evening, Monday, October 29th, 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Dr. Bernard Harris Elementary School, 1400 N. Caroline St. You are invited to bring your ideas and voice your opinions for plans in in the community. Free refreshments will be served. All are welcome!
Bishop Madden invites you to join him for his next prayer walk tomorrow evening, Monday, October 29, beginning at 5:30 pm., at Holy Cross (110 East West Street, 21230). The evening will begin with a light meal at 5:30 p.m. and end before 7:30 p.m. During the walk, we will pray at specific locations that have been affected by violence, and for all those individuals who have been so terribly affected by violence, and for a change of heart in those given to violence.
Please join us for a Pastorate Day of Prayer Saturday, October 6th 10 am – 12 pm, St. Ann’s Church and Prayer Garden. All are invited as the three parishes of St. Ann, St. Wenceslaus and St. Francis Xavier come together for a day of worship and prayer. A light breakfast will begin at 9:30 am inside Mother Seton Academy Hall.
